ROLLING WITH THE PUNCHES OF LIFE

Leo arrived on our farm on 29 November 2023.  It was stormy and pouring and from a nearby tree he was calling. On the evening of 29 February 2024, he was in the same tree. This is the last he was seen, or so I thought. I began to think he was sent to us for exactly 3 months to the day, bringing us joy and then the joy was taken away.

Sometimes we have to roll with the punches that life throws our way, the good, the bad and the ugly.  At times the ugly is too ugly to repeat.  Yesterday my bad was that Leo was M.I.A.  The good was receiving a parcel from a friend.

Today, however, there is no bad or ugly.  My heart is light again and my soul joyful.  My good is that Leo has returned.  The simplest chore of washing dishes in a plastic container has once again turned into a happy activity in a mice-free ruin.

May the month of March be our good with cloudy but mostly, blue skies.
